Travel FAQS
Besides your visa, it’s recommended to have:
- Return flight tickets
- Accommodation information
- Proof of sufficient funds
Always check official sources before your trip, as regulations may change.
Different tour types have different minimum traveller requirements. Each itinerary page will clearly indicate the minimum number of travellers needed for that specific tour to operate.
If your group does not meet the minimum number but you would still like to travel, we are happy to arrange a Custom Tour tailored specifically to your preferred dates, group size and interests. Simply contact us with your requirements, and we will create a personalised itinerary for you.
- Japan: Airports, banks, and post offices are the safest places. Avoid unofficial money changers.
- China: Use banks, official hotel exchanges, or airport counters. Avoid street exchangers to prevent scams.
Attractions may occasionally close without prior notice, which can affect access during your trip. While these situations are beyond our control, Three Bears Travel will inform you whenever possible and arrange suitable alternative activities.
Generally, you will need: a valid passport, completed visa application form, passport-sized photo, and travel itinerary or flight booking. Specific requirements vary by nationality; always refer to the official website.
- Japan: Apple Pay and Google Pay are gradually accepted in large stores and public transport, but cash is still essential in rural areas.
- China: Alipay and WeChat Pay dominate daily transactions, from taxis to street food. Some international cards can now be linked to these apps, but check compatibility before your trip.
- Japan: Japanese Yen (JPY). Cash is still widely used, especially in smaller shops, rural areas, and temples. Credit cards are commonly accepted in major hotels, department stores, and restaurants in big cities.
- China: Chinese Yuan (CNY / Renminbi). While cash is accepted, mobile payments like Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely used. Some international credit cards may not work in smaller shops, so it’s advisable to carry some cash or use mobile payment apps.
For group tours, your spot is confirmed once we receive your deposit.
For private tours, short stays, extensions or additional nights, confirmation typically takes 3–10 days depending on the destination and local holidays.
After confirmation, we will send an updated invoice showing your deposit. Please ensure your name matches your passport exactly. Forms can also be accessed on our website.
